The Preferred Resource for RTO’s and TAFE
I-CAR provides the industry standard for training that contributes to complete, safe and quality collision repairs. Since 2012, I-CAR has provided education to TAFE teachers involved in Collision Repair and is now involved in educating tomorrow’s collision repair professionals by licensing our curriculum to technical schools and colleges. Many training facilities across Australia offer collision repair programs based on I-CAR’s curriculum.
The new Professional Development Program – Education Edition™ (PDP-EE) significantly advances I-CAR’s offerings in this area. Focused largely on providing apprentices with role-relevant knowledge combined with modern practical assessments the students graduate with the industry-recognised Platinum™ points and the skills they need in the workforce as productive collision repair professionals.
The PDP-EE is based on the same curriculum and courses as our regular PDP for industry professionals. Adapted for use by technical school instructors, it includes a variety of special tools and aids that make it easy for instructors to implement the program. It also includes I-CAR’s Intro to Collision Repair Series, which helps students build a foundation in basic collision repair concepts and terminology before they begin their technical learning.
Collision repair students who are taught using the I-CAR Professional Development Program – Education Edition™ enjoy several advantages. These benefits to their education and future career prospects include:
- Learning using the same curriculum used to train current industry professionals
- Instruction from educators trained by I-CAR, the industry-recognised leader in collision repair training
- Achievement of the industry-recognised Platinum™ designation upon completion
- Practical training that prepares graduates to be productive
- Invested value to employers through completion of more than $2,500 of I-CAR training that businesses can apply toward fulfilling their Gold Class and direct repair network training requirements
- Readiness for more advanced professional training
I-CAR training is the industry standard for training that contributes to safe, complete and quality repairs. It’s also the right choice for technical and career school students who want the practical knowledge and professional credentialing they need to be ready for work in the collision repair industry.
